Nancy Dafoe

Writer and educator Nancy A. Dafoe currently has fifteen books published and numerous poems, short stories, and essays appearing in literary magazines. Dafoe's literary novel Socrates is Dead Again won Gold in the Human Relations Indie Book Awards in 2023. Her memoir Unstuck in Time was the Director's Choice Book of the Year in the Human Relations Indie Book Awards for 2023. Her first murder mystery You Enter a Room was published in 2017 and is the first in her Vena Goodwin series that includes Both End in Speculation and Murder on Ponte Vecchio. Her cross-genre memoir and poetry book An Iceberg in Paradise: A Passage through Alzheimer's was published in April 2015 and was a Faulkner contest finalist. Naimah and Ajmal is the title of her contemporary fable in novella form. Her policy text, The Misdirection of Education Policy: Raising Questions about School Reform was published in 2016. Poetry books and other texts are shown here. Here newest novel Yet in the Land of the Living was released by the publisher in December 2024.
