Rachel Phifer

By the time she graduated from high school, Rachel had attended eleven schools in four countries and seven towns. Her parents were missionaries in eastern and southern Africa, and they gave her an adventurous, if somewhat unpredictable childhood. It’s not surprising then that she developed a love for books and imaginary friends, since they could come along with her when she moved to the next country.

After high school, she returned to the states for college. Continuing her love affair with books, she majored in English (and added psychology as a second major). Since college, she has lived and worked in Houston. When she isn't working, she's raising two teenage daughters, and of course, writing.
