I've been writing since high school, and I choose my stories based on the message that I want to send. Rather than focusing on any particular genre, I prefer to find the set of feelings I want to express and build the characters and the world around that. So far, it's led me into mostly fantasy and sci-fi work, but I'm working on a few projects that are set in a more mundane realm as well. When I'm not writing, I'm spending time with friends and family, working on getting through my MD/PhD program, or developing some other set of skills in the hope that I might one day end up well-rounded.

My approach to writing is inspired by my brother's approach to music, and as such I hope to collaborate with other emerging authors on either conventional co-authorship or more unconventional "sampler" and "split" projects. I'm also very interested in working on a graphic novel if I can find the right artist.
