Romulus-Catalin Damaceanu

Romulus-Catalin Damaceanu was born in Iasi, Romania on March 14, 1975. His personal philosophy for success is resumed by the following phrase: Applying an interdisciplinary methodology that combines knowledge of mathematics, computer science and history to develop comprehensive nonlinear dynamic models that are able to explain social phenomena.

This is also the aim of the last science fiction novel entitled "Moon colonization" that deals with a scientific project developed by the Institute for the Study of Complex Systems (ISCS) of Iassy. The action starts in the year 2050 when this institute conceives a scientific research proposal entitled 'Moon Colonization' in cooperation with the Atlantic Space Agency (ASA) and the Atlantic Military Treaty Organization (AMTO). This proposal is approved for financing by the Global Scientific Foundation located in Washington. This project draws the attention of the National Defense Agency located in Shanghai. The novel is dealing with a bipolar political system where there are two giant federations on Earth: one is the Atlantic Federation, and the other is the Pacific Union. These two enter in a war for the conquering of the Moon. The battle is won by the Atlantic Federation. As consequence of the huge war effort for the Pacific Union, a revolution occurs in the capital of this federation - Shanghai. This determines a drastic improvement of the relations between the Atlantic Federation and the Pacific Union. Finally, they decide to create the Earth Federation. The first colony on Moon is fully functional in the 2070. A new revolutionary technology based on dark energy electrical generators is discovered on this lunar colony. Using this, the flight to Mars is done in about one month in the year 2065 using a spaceship able to run with Mach 100. In the period of years 2070-2100, the speed is increased at the top value of Mach 6400.

By presenting some special techniques used in the scientific research, this book can be helpful for all people implied in the key area of Space Exploration with all adjacent knowledge. In addition, the book can be used by people implied in Military Sciences and Intelligence Services by presenting some possible scenarios developed in outer space. Not least of all, the book can be useful for the specialists in social sciences (Anthropology, Economics, Education, Geography, History, Law, Linguistics, Political Science, Psychology, Social Work, and Sociology) by presenting a possible model of the Earth Federation. Furthermore, by presenting a global religion model, the book may be useful for persons with theological training.

Respecting the same personal philosophy of creating nonlinear models of social phenomena, the same author had previously published five scientific books at publishing houses from Germany and United Arab Emirates:

- Agent-Based Computational Economics Using NetLogo, BENTHAM Science Publishers, 2013;

- Foreign trade operations, LAP LAMBERT Academic Publishing, 2011, ISBN 978-3-8454-1542-0;

- Agent-based Computational Social Sciences using NetLogo. LAP LAMBERT Academic Publishing, 2011;

4. Applied Computational Mathematics in Social Sciences. BENTHAM Science Publishers, 2010;

5. The exchange rate regime and the international trade. LAP LAMBERT Academic Publishing, 2010;

His professional prestige is recognized by the fact that is:

- Member in the Advisory Board of the ISI quoted journal “Applied Inteligence”;

- Reviewer for ISI journals "Economic Modelling", "Applied Intelligence", "Journal of Computational and Applied Mathematics", and "Computers & Education";

- Reviewer for the publishing house "Scientific & Academic Publishing";

- Expert evaluator for scientific research projects for ANCS Romania and Scientific Research Fund of Bulgaria.

His biography is included in the following encyclopedias:

- Marquis Who's Who in the World, 26th Edition, 2009;

- Top 100 Professionals 2010, done by the International Bibliographical Centre of Cambridge, England;

- Marquis Who's Who in Science and Engineering 2011-2012;

- Great Minds of the 21st Century 2011, done by the American Biographical Institute.
