Gina Chartier

Gina A. Chartier was born and raised in Saginaw, Michigan in the early eighties. Forged from a young age in the fires of fantasy and science fiction, encouraged by She-ra, and tempered with a steady inflow of Star Trek and video games, she's known she wanted to create worlds since before she could put pen to paper, but has (mostly) settled for novel writing and digital painting.

She double-majored in Writing and Philosophy at Northern Michigan University in 2005 and completed an M.A. in Writing with a fiction emphasis in 2008, and has been using her education to its utmost by stocking shelves and peddling electronics at a big box retailer ever since... by day.

The rest of the time, she has been revising, revamping and reimagining Rivermist, the nine-part fantasy series she's been writing since she was fifteen.
