Welcome, and thank you for taking the time to visit my author page.
I hope that when you read my novels, you will lose yourselves for a while. I want to take you to wonderful places, whether it is the wild, rugged cliffs of Cornwall, the lush green hills of the Yorkshire Dales, or the heat of a Tuscan village. Come with me on a journey. Cry and laugh in equal measure, but most of all enjoy my love stories.
Here is a little bit about me. I love travelling, cliff walking, and lazing on my hammock reading other people’s novels. I also like painting, cooking, gardening, and drinking cappuccinos (preferably by the sea). I live with my artist partner on the banks of the River Helford in Cornwall, and my favourite writing place is anywhere with a sea view. When I started writing fiction, it was the memories of my travels to Italy, Greece, and my beloved Cornwall that flooded back, injecting warmth, passion, and love into my stories.
I have now written twelve novels, nine of which are the Cornish Chronicles, a powerful romantic series rich in period detail with an extraordinary cast of memorable characters. Think Downton Abbey by the sea. Book 1: A Gift from the Sea. Book 2: Waiting for the Harvest Moon. Book 3: My Song of the Sea. Book 4: The Path We Take. Book 5: The Glittering Sea Book 6: Our Days in the Sun, and Book 7: The Hand that Wrote this Letter. Book 8: Somewhere Out There. Book 9: Past, Present & Future.
I have also written a standalone historical novel, Mr de Sousa’s Legacy, and two contemporary novels, The Blue Bay Café and On a Distant Shore.
Whether my books are set in Italy, France, Yorkshire, Devon, or Cornwall, I like to make my stories real, full of friendship, love, passion, and family secrets. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I have enjoyed writing them.
I am currently writing my 13th novel.
