Yves Bernas is a French writer, film director and Engineer. He lives in Berlin.
His stories are highly visual without leaving the realm of literary fiction.
His first book is a collection of short stories: « Vitax® et autres nouvelles » (in French), stories in the line of Edgar Poe, Oscar Wilde and Stephen King, treated à la David Cronenberg.
His second book is a novel: « Dr Tenace » (in English), a story about a doctor discovering the nature of consciousness and the key to digital soul transfer as well as mind time travel. It is also the story of a man struggling with the fear of his own ambition and discovery.
His last book is again a collection of short stories: « Le Motel Rose et autres nouvelles ». He has adapted one of them for the screen: « Stan Laurier or The Visitor », a tribute to Alejandro Jodorowski and Arno Gruen. The short film is now freely available on Viméo.
