Alexander Kopelman

Mr. Kopelman is a writer and advocate committed to social justice and individual empowerment. He is the author and co-author of nine other books, including: "What Mama Taught Me," in collaboration with Tony Brown, host of Tony Brown’s Journal on PBS, and "The Miracles of Mentoring," in collaboration with Thomas W. Dortch, Jr., national chairman of The 100 Black Men of America, Inc.

Mr. Kopelman is the founding President of the Children’s Arts Guild, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting boys in building social and emotional skills through the active exploration of creativity and the arts. He is currently working on a memoir of his seventeen years as a member of a men's group.
