E. L. Baker

E. L. Baker is the pen name for Gary Austin. He was born in South Florida to a family whose ancestors first moved to Florida circa 1835. He was chief of police in his home town, and was the only officer to ever rise from auxiliary officer through the ranks to Chief of that department. He has served in law enforcement, and emergency services, for over thirty years. "Curacao" is his first novel, and the opening book in his new "Reece Bristol Mystery series."

In response to my first reader review: Reece Bristol is a graduate of Miami - Dade State College aviation program. The program conveys 727 engineer certification to its graduates, most of which are 20 years old. Reece then went on to graduate from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. The University conveys instructor licenses to its students on many different aircraft. Most graduates of embry-riddle are 22 years old, also many of them speak multiple languages. As for the back up resources: As a reader pointed out, she was working for the government and had much less than in "Thunderball.". As for the breasts, how do you ignore them in a place like the Caribbean?
