Jim Van Loozen was a celebrated newspaper reporter and editor in Houston before moving to Washington, D.C., to work for the U.S. Postal Service headquarters in a number of positions. He has won numerous awards and honors for his writing and now resides in Florida with his wife Diane and two cats, Sawyer and Lilly.
The Van Loozen's son Jimmy is a manager for a plumbing company in the Austin, TX. area and has made them grandparents four times over. Their daughter Lauren Fulbright is a talented songwriter and singer living in Herndon, VA. Rough demos of her EP can be sampled on Facebook and My Page.
Much of his recent work is being written while he undergoes kidney dialysis three days a week. His work is being published by i-Universe, with whom he has a four-book contract.
