Anthony K. Jensen

Anthony K. Jensen is Professor of Philosophy at Providence College. He has held fellowships from the Alexander von Humboldt Stiftung, the National Endowment for the Humanities, the Fulbright Foundation, the Weimar Klassik Stiftung, and the Fox Center for Humanistic Inquiry. He is a specialist in Late Modern Philosophy, especially Nietzsche, Schopenhauer, Goethe, and the Neo-Kantians. His thematic interests include Philosophy of History, Philosophy of Psychology, and Epistemology. External to his philosophical interests, he researches the History of Modern Germany, the History of Classical Philology, and Romanticism. He has published 'Nietzsche's Philosophy of History' (Cambridge, 2013); 'An Interpretation of Nietzsche's On the Uses and Disadvantage of History for Life' (Routledge, 2016); and, with Helmut Heit (co-eds.) 'Nietzsche as a Scholar of Antiquity' (Bloomsbury, 2014), and more than fifty articles, chapters, encyclopedia articles, and reviews.
