From the author: Hi I'm Lorelie and welcome to my cake world. Way back in 1984 I made my first wedding cake. I was soooooo nervous I sat on a tray of buttercream flowers! But it was still my lucky day because I met the love of my life and a year later I was making OUR wedding cake!

Since then I've made thousands of cakes, pastries and all occasion cakes from my home business, various bakeries, cool little coffee houses and large banquet halls. Winning the first place and directors award at the Connecticut Chefs Association in 2004 was the icing on the cake!

Fast forward to 2009 Wedding Cakes For You website began. My visitors kept asking me the same questions over and over. They were scared, just like I was in 1984. I wanted to help people to build confidence to move forward with their cake dream. So I created my books and video. The best part about all of this is hearing back from my customers, seeing their beautiful wedding cake creations and knowing that I made a positive impact. Makes my day!
