Wally Conway

Wally Conway has been featured on the Home and Garden Television (HGTV) series House Detective, co-hosted Finders Fixers on the DIY Network, and hosts a weekly radio show on WOKV in Jacksonville called The Home and Garden Show.

He is also a frequent contributor to an assortment of magazines, newsletters and television news programs.

He is President of Florida HomePro Inc. (HomePro Inspections), the home inspection company he founded in 1994. Beginning as a sole practitioner, the business evolved rapidly to become one of the largest independently-owned multi-inspector firms in Florida.

In addition, Wally serves as a respected consultant to many other home inspection companies. A retired Navy pilot and a graduate of the U. S. Naval Academy, he became a Florida licensed residential contractor in 1986.

As a specialist in discovery, disclosure, and documentation of residential concerns, Wally has authored and instructed numerous courses approved by the Florida Real Estate Commission (FREC) for the continuing education of real estate agents. Standard course topics cover home inspection and construction related issues.

Wally has educated literally thousands of REALTORS® on the specifics needed to comply with state statutes, as well as how to comfort buyers and sellers during the tense time of a real estate transaction while simultaneously managing agent interest and liability.

Wally has been a staff instructor with the Florida Association of REALTORS® Instructor Academy.

He is steadily involved with the Northeast Florida Association of REALTORS® (NEFAR), having participated on the Legislative Committee and the Education Committee over many years. NEFAR’s Education program won the state’s highest honor, the Outstanding Education Programs Award, during his tenure as Chairman.

Wally has served as the President of the Florida Chapter of the American Society of Home Inspectors (FLASHI), on the board of the Florida Association of Building Inspectors (FABI), as a member of the ASHI Council of Representatives, as a member of the ASHI Strategic Planning Committee, and is a Member of InterNACHI.

Wally interacts regularly with a wide-ranging client base including residential and commercial building buyers, sellers, property managers, renovators, investors, lenders, agents, attorneys, appraisers, and their frequent satisfied referrals. He has received numerous honors and much recognition for his outstanding service.
