Besides being a published author, entrepreneur and Kansas City’s 1st African American MLS President, I am also a licensed real estate broker and certified national instructor. In 2004, I abruptly left my 9-5 career and started my real estate business 2 months later. I quickly learned numerous ways to earn money in a real estate market that I was not familiar with. Acquiring state contracts, renting properties, buying lots, flipping properties, hosting trainings, managing investor portfolios and acquiring a federal contract with Freddie Mac were just a few things I did to figure out what areas of the business I wanted to be in. One thing I learned from these roles was that there wasn't one place to learn about all of these areas of real estate.

I was born and raised in the Bronx, NY and have always been able to challenge myself and others to do more than think “outside of the box” . People needed to create their own box. I believe that way of thinking was why I was voted by my peers as Realtor of the Year and Entrepreneur of the year. The natural progression for me after closing more than 2000 real estate transactions and maintaining a successful business helping others was to write this book. I've been told that I possess a special gift to see the potential in others and match them to the niche and plan that would help them find their niche and maximize their full business potential.

When I'm not working , I'm fundraising for organizations dear to my heart and spending time with my family. My husband and 3 children (yes the fella on the left is one of them) keep me busy, happy and full of life.
