Camac Johnson

Born in Northern Ireland, Camac Johnson grew up enjoying nature and sports. Wanting to experience the great wildlife parks of Africa, he travelled by sea to South Africa. He set up a food processing business and enjoyed visits to neighbouring countries including Namibia and Zimbabwe. Later work opportunities took him to Saudi Arabia and the Canary Islands, before a return to the UK.

Always a keen reader, a switch to writing seemed the natural thing to do. He has self-published several novels and short stories. For his Romance novel, Zambezi Seduction, he used the pen name Tamara Cape.

Update: June 2024. His latest novels, Pursuit, Mission: Africa, and Hemingway Quest are now available as Amazon ebooks and paperbacks.

Further update: February 2025. Two short story collections have been added to his list on Amazon. For children: Squirt the Egg-Eater and other stories; and for adults: A Night at the River and other stories.

He has completed spec film scripts in various genres. His children's/family animation feature Kalahari was a Quarter-Finalist in the 2019 ScreenCraft Animation International Competition. His 7-part TV drama Pursuit and other scripts are listed on the International Screenwriters Association site.
