Beverly R. Jones

Beverly R. Jones was born and raised in the Southeastern United States. After residing in a number of locations in and outside of the continental U.S., she re-settled in South Carolina and has made it her home for several years now. Her travels as a former military wife have included temporary residences in Colorado, Alabama, Georgia, Alaska, Hawaii and Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands. Even though she plans a book about life in Alaska, her favorite locale to write about still remains primarily in the South. "That's where my strongest and quirkiest characters come from. A lot of us Southerners are innately quirky, anyway."

Ms. Jones's first novel, "All Things Sacred", a romantic suspense, was followed by an anthology of short Southern stories, "Grits and Rabid Dogs" and a compilation of her late grandmother's poetry, "Messengers of Hope: The Musings and Poetry of Marcelle Desplanques Jones." She is the author of several award-winning short stories, and two children's novels, "The Lighthorse Legacy" and "The Lighthorse League: The Mystery of the Hidden Tunnel," the first and second, respectively, in the Lighthorse series of books.
