Mary Kosut

Mary Kosut is a cultural sociologist who has published research on tattoo art and cultures, flesh hook suspensions and the intimacies between insects and humans. Her current project looks at the sociality of art worlds in New York City. She is an Associate Professor of Media, Society & the Arts and Gender Studies at Purchase College, State University of New York and lives in Brooklyn.
