Ted Spain

I spent 27 years in the Army, culminating as the Commander of the 18th Military Police Brigade during the ground war and the first year of Operation Iraqi Freedom. During that year I lost 13 soldiers that gave their lives for the freedom we enjoy everyday. Many others were physically and emotional changed forever. Leading these soldiers in combat was the highlight of my military career. I will forever be in debt to them for their bravery and patriotism. It is the politician, not the soldier, that decides when to go to war.
