Stephanie Ford

Stephanie H. Ford is an author, artist, and historian. Her main interest is in 19th century history, and she has released one non-fiction title, "Gunpowder on Their Skirts," which focuses on women who had active military roles during the American Civil War. Currently, she is working on a series of novels, "The Grayback" series, which follows a young Civil War soldier who post-war becomes an expatriate soldier-of fortune in Asia and then France. Additionally, she has illustrated five titles for Pelican Publishing, Inc. of which one, "Tad Lucas," she received the Will Rogers Medallion Award for illustration. She resides in Texas where she writes, is a part time college professor, and travels to schools where she speaks to students about writing, art, and having the persistence to be successful.
