Alan Connor
Alan Connor is the author of 188 Words for Rain, The Joy of Quiz and Two Girls, One on Each Knee: The Puzzling, Playful World of the Crossword.
His screenwriting credits include Borat 2, the snooker biopic film The Rack Pack and the comedy-drama A Young Doctor's Notebook, starring Daniel Radcliffe and Jon Hamm. In 2024, he was nominated for a writing Emmy.
He has written jokes for Charlie Brooker's Wipe and Have I Got News for You, he used to co-present The Word, he has been question editor of Only Connect and Richard Osman's House of Games and he is the crossword editor at the Guardian.
