Sara Parker is a National Certified Counselor and Licensed School Counselor who is passionate about finding the latest research on ways to cope with overwhelming emotions, anxiety and make life worth it. She created the business “Tame the Brain” to share those techniques with others. The “Tame the Brain” book series share these techniques in a easy, interactive way that all ages can understand. Science has shown that we can rewire the brain to better handle emotions. The books are based on neuroscience, –understanding how our emotions work with our brain. Tame the Brain is influenced by Cognitive Therapy CBT, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness (MindUP), and Positive Psychology.
The book "A.N.T. Annoying Nonsense Thoughts" is based on cognitive therapy. Charlie never has a good day. Every day is bad. Follow Charlies adventures as he learns how to change his ‘ANT’s’ into ‘HAWK’s.
The book "P.E.S.T. Personal and Emotional Space and Taking Turns" follows the adventures of Samantha. Samantha is on the lookout for a friend. Not just any friend, a best friend. She wants a best friend to show her awesome dance moves to and be a member of her Unicorn Club. So far, she is the only member. Why won't anyone join Samantha's Unicorn club or watch her dance? Samantha is like many kids. She tries too hard. This book teaches children about personal space and appropriate ways to make friends.
