Dana Mitchell

Due to her obsession with reading, Dana Mitchell won her high school’s library prize at a time when it was so not cool to be a nerd. Reading anything and everything put her imagination into overdrive, but the thrill of romance is what set her writerly aspirations in motion.

Dana writes sensual, contemporary and historical romance, sometimes adding a dash of paranormal with all the beauty and chaos of dark enchantment.

She’s finaled in several writing competitions, notably coming second in the Romance Writers of Australia’s Emerald Competition for best unpublished completed manuscript. She was published by Penguin Australia for her first novel—a contemporary romance called A Venetian Affair—and is now working on a series of historical paranormal romance novellas called the ‘My Lady Beserker’ series.
