Stephen Erwin

Stephen Erwin was born in Fort Wayne Indiana in 1947, survived 12 years of parochial school, and earned a bachelor degree from Butler University in Indianapolis. He taught school for three years before seeking jobs in the private sector.

Steve worked 22 years as an industrial engineer and cost reduction expert. After being downsized out of his job he obtained an associate degree in computer networking with a 4.0 grade point average. He is also a Microsoft Certified Professional. He retired to write this book in 2012.

He has earned a reputation as a constant bane to local and state politicians with over 40 years of practice writing Letters to the Editor.

Steve helped run the successful campaign for Portland Indiana mayor Democrat Vaughn Bailey in the ‘80s. Vaughn then angered the City Council by appointing Steve, a Republican, to his board of works. Steve later ran an unsuccessful campaign for mayor himself.

Steve was a registered lobbyist to both the U.S. House and Senate where he unsuccessfully lobbied for a Judicial Accountability Amendment.

When Senator Lugar announced that he would run for a seventh term Steve started the website www.RetireLugar2012.com. He also started the Jay County TEA Party and served as sixth district representative to Hoosiers for a Conservative Senate. Steve ran a statewide letter writing campaign to expose Lugar’s liberal voting record.

Steve loves computers, photography, target shooting, and irritating politicians. That makes this book a perfect fit because many Supreme Court Justices, who are supposed to be impartial, have proven themselves to be politicians rather than judges.
