Louise Yochee Klein, PsyD is a business psychologist with 15+ years of experience powering innovation -- by equipping leaders to build courage when they mobilize support and strengthen accountability in cross-functional, global and matrix teams. Her work with individual leaders and executive teams has contributed to breakthrough successes in life sciences and pharmaceutical companies, in health IT, in safety engineering, in financial services innovations and in a wide array of entrepreneurial scale-ups and global alliances.
Louise (Yochee) was a middle manager in a major Canadian retail corporation and was a clinical psychologist before moving to Israel and joining The Courage Institute in the Western Galilee and Courage International Business Advisors in the United States as a Principal and Co-Director. These two sister firms are dedicated to leadership development -- grooming high-potential experts to step up, reach out and lead from the middle -- in a way that delivers a fast sustainable ROI and accelerates strategy-execution, grabbing hold of breakthrough opportunities and stepping up to make a difference.
Louise (Yochee) is known for getting right to the heart of the challenges that have to be overcome to wow and woo investors, to mobilize support, to convert nay-saying and victim-perspectives into generative possibility can-do thinking. In addition to bringing this to teams she directly facilitates, Louise (Yochee) equips leaders to awaken the brilliance and creative energy in teams for themselves, long after she and her consulting team have finished "working their magic." She is known for approaching challenges with humour and generative thinking, and for bringing leaders out of a narrow or victim-perspective to find lucky and creative possibilities that seemed impossible at the outset.
Courage to Lead is Louise (Yochee)'s first book, co-authored with her partner, Dr Merom Klein. It builds on the insights, ideas and research that her colleagues at Courage Institute have developed -- and applies them to the innovation challenges that teams face in matrix structures, global alliances, and in ad-hoc cross-functional agile flat diverse teams.
Louise (Yochee) earned her PsyD in Clinical Psychology at Widener University, Philadelphia USA, where she started her research on the courage that leaders need to overcome adversity and take their performance, happiness and fulfillment to a higher level.
Clients who have used Louise (Yochee) and her work OnCourage include a who's who in life sciences, insurance, financial services, engineering, chemicals, manufacturing, defence, managed service, professional service and high-tech enterprises -- and in civilian and military government agencies across the globe. Examples are Quaker Chemical, VWR, ARAMARK, Dollar Financial Group, GE Healthcare, Johnson & Johnson, GSK, EPIX, Keiretsu Forum Mid-Atlantic, ITW, Cambia Health, ITI, Millenium, Alnylam and the MRC-T.
