C. F. King is a South African author of steamy historical romance, mystery, and adventure.

Born in Johannesburg, King grew up in Zambia close to the African bush—an influence that shapes her vivid settings and emotionally charged storytelling. Her novels explore love, resilience, injustice, and survival.

An incurable romantic with a passion for history, she has travelled throughout southern Africa, England, and France. These journeys informed the authenticity and atmosphere of her historical fiction, which blends meticulous research with intense relationships and explicit romantic elements.

In addition to her writing, King has enjoyed a successful career in fine art. Personal loss profoundly shaped her creative journey, deepening her commitment to stories that honor passion, endurance, and emotional truth.

Her books range from dark historical mystery and adventure to lighter, humorous novels and steamy, adult romance. She is currently working on ‘Cursed Blood’, a medieval romance series; ‘Akir’, a YA fantasy; and ‘Steel Warrior’ set in post-Apartheid South Africa.
