I'm Nikki Harrison Chaney, Author of the novel Till Death do Him Part and Founder of the non-profit organization Heel my Heart Foundation. My novel speaks about the brutal abuse that I endured at the hands of both my husband and the father of my children. After suffering almost 10 years of mental, physical, sexual and emotional abuse that's all compiled in "Till Death do Him Part" a big part of me was still lost and destroyed. In 2013 I founded the Foundation Heel my Heart which strives to empower women 16 and older who have suffered from domestic abuse reestablish their identity by providing them with counseling, resources to enable them to further their education, job readiness to include skills and training, resume preparation, and job search, to allow them an opportunity to attain exceptional employment and to provide beauty enhancement, all resulting in a woman with high self-esteem that's able to adapt and become more productive in society. By achieving our goal, we also promote awareness throughout the community about the dangers of domestic violence. Proceeds from the sale of my novel fund my foundation.
