Eric 'Shepherd' Mao

A libertarian by instinct, conservative for practicality and history lover who thinks shepherd dogs are super cool, Eric 'Shepherd' Mao is questioning orthodoxies by digging into the origins of human affairs, debunking the false narratives, and then establishing new perspectives. His previous online discussion forum, Libertarians, had been ranked by The Wall Street Journal as one of the most active and popular in the Journal Community (before WSJ was reformatted and the Journal Community decommissioned).

Eric ventures the opinion that there are three types of people on earth—those who have read Human Action (by Ludwig von Mises), those who haven't, and those who are working on it.

Eric is currently working in the financial industry. He holds an M.B.A. and an M.S. in computer science.
