Author BlackByrd, known as "The Jill of All Genres", was born as Lakelia DeLoach (Lucas) on June 10, 1986, is an author from Flint, MI, currently residing in Detroit. After obtaining a degree in nursing, BlackByrd picked back up the pen and fulfilled her childhood dream of becoming an author. BlackByrd currently writes Non-Fiction, Urban and Women's Fiction, Children and Pre-Teen/Teen books. Now a Mother, Wife, Author, Retired Nurse, Motivational Speaker, and Serial Entrepreneur, BlackByrd's main goal is to bring joy through her writing and keep her readers on the edge of their seats.
