Yuksel Sezgin

Yüksel Sezgin teaches comparative politics and law at Syracuse University. His research focuses on comparative law, religion and politics, human rights, narratives of justice, judicial decision-making, and the interaction between law, society, and emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence.

He received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Ankara University, Hebrew University of Jerusalem, the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London, and the University of Washington. Prior to joining Syracuse University, he taught at the University of Washington, Harvard Divinity School, and City University of New York. He also held research appointments at Princeton University, University of Oxford, Columbia University, the Institute for Advanced Study, Bielefeld University, the American University in Cairo, and the University of Delhi.

All royalties from sales of his books are donated by the author to the UN Women Fund for Gender Equality.
