Pam Micca with Ginger Smith

Pam Micca was widowed after 42 years of marriage. She has become increasingly aware of the importance of the support system of family and friends that have surrounded her since her husband went to be with the Lord on November 12, 2011. She has been a Licensed Professional Counselor for over 25 years. She developed an expertise and a passion for working with girls and women of all ages who were suffering with eating disorders during the 13 years she worked at Remuda Ranch, an acute intensive inpatient treatment facility for females with eating disorders. She has presented at various national conferences on the subject, as well as the importance of including spiritual integration into any treatment modality that is successful in bringing about recovery.

She has a passion for assisting wounded men and women who are engaged in the process of learning to (1) validate their own thoughts, feelings, and needs, (2) let go of ineffective or self-destructive methods of responding to their internal processes, and (3) apply new behavioral, cognitive, emotional, spiritual, and interpersonal skill sets to their everyday lives that are effective and life affirming methods of taking care of self. She has a powerful desire to help others overcome difficulties or barriers that prevent them from more completely appropriating the purposes that they were originally designed for.
