Wendy T. Dompieri

Wendy T. Dompieri first traveled to India in 1979. Over the next 25 years she returned several times and was witness to the dramatic changes which took place in the country and its people. She uses the contrast of her suburban upbringing and her familiarity with India and its culture as a backdrop for most of her work. India, a land of color, noise and opposites, became a place that is ever in her heart. She now lives in upstate New York.
