Where do I start? I left school with no qualifications. Only a bottle of cider! I hated school I left when I was 15 and went straight into work. I them became a Retail Manager at a young age and left to have my children. Working in Warehouses to bring in money I thought that surely there had to be more to my life.
At the lovely age of 34 I decided to take myself to college - night class. I was terrified. I have never found learning easy but knew that I needed to start doing something different.
I then went on course after course and loved learning, I then stepped into the world of teaching. But within Offender Learning - (prisons). This is where my passion was found. I absolutely believed I was there for a reason, a reason to help other people. And during the 6 years working in a male high secure prison I left for pastures new.
Employability - the confidence in my own skills given to me by my learners, (especially the offenders)helped to push me to write my own book.
My book is from the heart, down to earth ways to improve your self-esteem and confidence when searching, applying and attending interviews. I link my own failings and weaknesses to encourage and motivate others to reach for their dreams their goals and their own success.
I teach employability as a living and I have had outstanding success of getting people back into work, or even climbing the ladder internally.
