Barry Reeves

Barry Reeves continues to live and work in Hell's Kitchen, NYC, where he also continues to write. A graduate of Dominican College and New York University's film school, Reeves has brought some of his favorite stories to life through short films. When I first arrived in New York City in the nineties, I walked out of port authority bus station in the heart of the city and asked somebody, "Do you know where ninth avenue is?" He smiled as he continued to walk-saying, "Go f@#k yourself."

What he didn't realize was, saying that to an Irish man, is equivalent to saying "Welcome to town kid." It was there and then, that percise moment that I fell in love with NYC. A shot in the dark chronicles my time in this vibrant, amazing and one of a kind city.
