LeslieBeth Wish

Hi, Thank you for learning about me.

Everyone calls me LB. I was raised part of my life in South Carolina, so my parents used a typical two-word first name. So, I am professionally known as LeslieBeth Wish, EdD, MSS, MA, Licensed Clinical Psychotherapist LCSW, #7132FL.

If you want to get a quick sense of me and my work in love, relationships, and intuition, please watch my TEDx video: You Can't Always Trust Your Gut When It Comes to Dating, Mating, and Relating. You can find it on my website, www.lovevictory.com. Or, you can use this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n2XYo9f_CWI

From an early age, I knew I had keen powers of "reading" people. The woman who raised me, named Daisy, called it "having that sense"--which most of us know as intuition. As a result, she taught me how to hone my skills--and I took to enjoying helping others. Daisy gave me the most important life lessons such as: Whenever you get upset about looking foolish--or anything else that makes you feel uncomfortable--just remember: Those other people are not related to any royal families." That thought instantly calmed me.

My mother gave me a love of literature, film, and history. She would frequently wake me up at 11:30 at night to tell me to come downstairs to watch a classic movie on television. She would say to me things such as: "You have to see the movie 'Mildred Pierce'--it's Joan Crawford's comeback movie and best actress award." Or, you have to see 'The Longest Day'--it's the most realistic movie of World War II.

I didn't realize until I went to college that she gave me a superb film education. So it is no surprise to me that I double-majored in History and English for my undergrad degrees at Carnegie-Mellon University. In addition to having a masters degree in English Literature from Ohio University, I also have a masters degree in Clinical Social Work & Management from Bryn Mawr College, and a doctoral degree from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, where I concentrated in Adult Developmental Psychology. I specialized in research design and development. I received 3 years of training in multi-generational family systems with the esteemed Murray Bowen, MD at Georgetown University. I also trained with an internationally respected women whom police departments around the world hired for her intuitive abilities to solve crimes.

After I had been working as a licensed clinical psychotherapist for several years, many questions about my clients' issues in love, and work nagged at me. And because I could not understand them as fully as I wanted, I did quantitative and qualitative research with hundreds and hundreds of research participants.

It's very important to me that you can trust that my books are based on solid, tested research findings. Both my research participants and I learned some surprising results!

My books include: "Training Your Love Intuition For Wise Relationship Choices." "Smart Relationships." "The Love Adventures of Almost Smart Cookie."

My professional work and writing earned me recognition and awards: I am the subject of several biographical entries in Marquis Who's Who for my pioneering work. The National Association of Social Workers included me on their list of the Top 50 Professionals.

My professional history includes:

Co-founder of the Counseling Network for the Special Operations Warrior Foundation

Clinical Director of the New England Institute for Family Relations, Framingham, MA.,

Advisory Board Member for Quality Health, a top ten health site

Faculty and Administrative Staff of Webster University Graduate School Business and Counseling-Sarasota.

I live in both Florida and Michigan with my husband, with whom i raised my stepdaughter, who lives with her husband in Florida.

I hope this information helps you trust in my advice. I am happy to help you get brave, smart and intuitive in love, life, and work!

Warmly, LB
