Luis E. F. Foa Torres is a condensed matter physicist. Since 2016 he is an Associate Professor at the University of Chile. Before he worked at the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) in Trieste, at the French Atomic Energy Commission in Grenoble, at the TU-Dresden as a fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and in Argentina as CONICET Research Scientist. His fields of expertise include quantum transport, carbon-based nanomaterials and nanodevices and driven systems. In 2018 he was awarded the ICTP Prize.
