Gerald McDaniel, an attorney and an award-winning author is a lifetime resident of Louisville. Gerald received both his B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Louisville, then practiced law in a private firm for a number of years and is a former prosecutor.
Night Sweats and Graffiti is McDaniel's third book, and his first thriller. Night Sweats is the first book in a three-part series featuring his central character, Sol, a set-in-his ways skeptic, who becomes a reluctant hero and protector of the innocent.
McDaniel's first two books, both part of the Aindreas Rivers Saga series, are Aindreas: The Messenger and Aindreas: The Scribe. Both are historical fiction. Aindreas: The Messenger received the Benjamin Franklin Award from the Independent Book Publishers Association and the Jesse Stuart Award from the Kentucky Association of School Librarians (KASL).
