Steven Wright

Steven Wright recently retired, but was a journalist for almost forty years and his experience as a crime reporter on the Bradford Telegraph & Argus gave him the background for his first novel, Transferred Malice, first published in May 2020 and revised as a new edition in October 2023. It is a dark and raunchy crime thriller about a gangster's lust for revenge on the detective who sent him to prison.

Steven previously published Race To My Dream, an autobiography about his journey with his ex-racehorse Alexander, aka Adelphi Warrior, from bumbling middle-aged hobby rider to riding his thoroughbred in a race. He has also written the best-selling Run With Your Heart and two further autobiographical ebooks, Leap At The Moon and How High The Dream?

Steven, from Leeds, worked for national and regional newspapers across five decades. He and his partner Jenny Loweth live with their rescue racing greyhound, Lily. They have two horses, Alexander and Sprite.

Jenny was the crown court reporter at the Bradford Telegraph & Argus and is writing an equine adventure series of books.
