Atlant Bieri

Atlant Bieri (*1980) is a Swiss science journalist and bestselling book author. He lives with his family in a small house in the agricultural zone of the Zurich highlands. “In the morning, I wake up to the bells of cows and sheep,” he says.

He has written a number of non-fiction books on the environment and technology. Standing out among them is his children book on energy, where he explains everything from electricity to the workings of a nuclear power plant. This book became a bestseller in Switzerland with over 11 000 copies sold.

“Flush it!” is his first book published in English on a topic outside his usual theme range. It deals with the question on how to keep the mind focussed on one thing, while around you hell breaks loose. “Life can be tough. But if we learn how to use the power of our brain, we can manage every situation, every disappointment, every struggle,” Atlant says.

In his free time, he mows the lawn, feeds his butterfly caterpillars, or builds sandboxes and treehouses.
