Marcella Runell Hall

Dr. Marcella Runell Hall (1975 - present) was born in Washington, D.C., raised in NJ & NY, and currently resides in Western, Massachusetts. Hall, a social justice scholar and author is currently the Vice President for Student Life and Dean of Students at Mount Holyoke College; and was most recently a clinical faculty member in the Silver School of Social Work and founding co-director of the 'Of Many' Institute for Multifaith Leadership at New York University. Hall has won numerous awards for writing, teaching and activism including the Indie Excellence Award for Social Change for "Love, Race & Liberation" and the AAC&U Future Scholar Award. Hall has also written for the New York Times Learning Network and many other journals and publications.
