My pen name is King Benjamin and I am a father first, and a writer second. I grew up in Detroit, Michigan starting my writing journey as an adult in search for my purpose. Within an eighteen month span I wrote four novels and decided to publish one in June of 2012 titled Cry Baby. My debut novel was very well received in the urban literary community and still ranks as a favorite among my biggest supporters. My second release was the Gank Masterz series which gave me my first bestseller and also gave me some much-needed credibility of consistency as an author. My writing style can be very diverse from grimy street tales of my early releases or my later romantic and thought provoking titles such as More Than I Can Bare, Record Label Romance and Wash You off My Skin. My main goal in writing is to create novels that will stand the test of time cementing a legacy beyond my lifespan.
