Daniel Cook

Daniel Cook is a Professor of English at the University of Dundee (Scotland, UK). His teaching and research interests include eighteenth- and nineteenth-century literature, Gothic literature, authorship and adaptation studies, and book history. His specialist subjects include the lives, works and legacies of Jonathan Swift, Daniel Defoe, Jane Austen, Walter Scott, Mary Shelley and Lord Byron. Daniel regularly discusses literature on BBC radio and TV programmes, and has contributed articles to The Conversation and other print media. He is the General Editor of The Dundee Review, a literary magazine that publishes original gothic fiction, and The Oxford Complete Works of Mary Shelley.
