Laura Battini

Historian and archaeologist, specialised in ancient Syria and Iraq, researcher at the CNRS, I am interested in understanding ancient man, that is to say his way of living and thinking. For the first aspect, I base myself mainly on buildings (houses, palaces, temples, defences, urbanism). For the second aspect, I study artefacts, i.e. all objects made by man to understand material culture, imaginary thought and religious practices.
