Now past 60, I have always enjoyed writing. The new books in the Sons of Earth Saga are my fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth, (I'm writing the ninth as you read this). The first three books were all written published inside 12 months and written inside 18, something of which I am quite proud! Books four and five were written over 12 months band published inside 13. The stories are drawn from years of wargames and campaigns fought with die-cast models, complex rules like Starfire and they often went on for years - literally! Some were played from 1979 through to 1995. I kept copious notes and diagrams, and the result is the books you can read here.

Of course they have progressed, darkened, deepened, technology has changed, our understanding of the whole universe has moved on in leaps and bounds. So has the threat of a climate changed Earth and the future of mankind. I've addressed that in a way I hope doesn't come true. Yet this is sci-fi and it means you can go where you like and think up whatever may suit you. Yet I have imposed limits. I need you to believe. I need you to think that this might be possible. The tech has to be believable, so there are no transporters or food materialisers!

I've had the opportunity over the years to meet and work with many people in business, celebrities, government and the military. As a result I've a keen understanding of how they think and what motivates them. It isn't always pretty, and it most certainly tends to benefit them more than us. It's also remarkably short-term in its ambition. Few are those who truly think primarily of others. Understanding what makes people act, and react, what truly motivates them, that's been key to making great characters too. The Sons Of Earth Saga is huge fun, I hope you enjoy and believe as much as I do when I write!

The Jake Sheridan Mysteries started as a labor of love and I'd be the first to admit I need to go back through The Templar Paradox and use the latest tech to make corrections, it was my first and you learn as you write! Book 2 was easier but still needs work to tidy it up (easy said 7 years after it was published). Book 3 had an editor and it really shows! They are however based on a lot more truth than you might think. The fundamental thing you need to know - The Templar Horse really exists, a chance aerial discovery that inspired a great tale! For those who have asked there is a fourth Jake Sheridan book, about 60% written, I just don't know when I might finish it!
