S. Duncan Reid

S. Duncan Reid' s background includes writing music criticism for a literary magazine called The Thirteenth Moon (1994-96). On August 23, 2013, his biography of legendary bandleader, vibraphonist and Latin jazz pioneer Cal Tjader––the first of its kind––was published by McFarland & Co. and garnered excellent reviews. Next, on August 27, 2020, a revised and expanded second edition of the Tjader biography was published. He has also written articles for Wax Poetics (November 2011) and Germany's Jazz Podium (September and October 2020). Mr. Reid is currently writing fiction. His latest book is The Adventures of Finch Redburn P. I., published on February 25, 2021, by Vanguard Press, an imprint of Pegasus Elliot MacKenzie Publishers Ltd.
