Jonathan Mills

I grew up in Somerset, England, an area rich in history, myth, and story-telling. It's where Alfred the Great hid from the Danes in the Ninth Century, where the Duke of Monmouth led the Pitchfork Rebellion against James II in 1685, where countless ghosts, witches and giants have stalked the hills and marshes for thousands of years.

"The Witch of Glenaster", "The Widow's Thorn" and "The Ghosts of Glenaster" are inspired by these stories, and also by writers such as Ursula Le Guin, Kevin Crossley-Holland, and J.R.R. Tolkien.
