Douglas Ewan Cameron

Douglas Ewan Cameron is a retired professor of Mathematics from The University of Akron, Akron Ohio. He grew up in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, attended Miami University (Oxford Ohio), The University of Akron (M.S.) and received his Ph.D. from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Blacksburg, Virginia). Upon retirement, he and his wife Nancy spend their summers on the shore of Hubbard Lake in the part of Michigan's lower peninsula known as "Up North" and winters in Copley, Ohio. It was in MI that the idea for his first book "The Body in the Perch Pond" occurred. He and his wife love to travel and on a cruise that would take them up the Amazon, he arranged for a fishing excursion on the Caribbean island of St. Barth. He had three "new friends" from the ship with him and the thought "What if they try to kill me and dump my body overboard" came to him. He started writing as soon as he returned on board and in three months had completed "Payback is a Bitch." He has several other books set "Up North" in some stage of progress including some young adult books and also has two books that will make up the Payback Trilogy. His latest series of two books involves the Secret Service: "Wings of a Butterfly" about a plot to assassinate the first female president-elect and "Treason" in which the president's four children are kidnapped and will be freed only if she resigns as president.
