For a very good reason, at only 29 years old, this Frenchman is already the author of 7 police and detective novels and an English translation. Fascinated by the cinema of glorious years 50-60, firearms, ancient automobiles, ships and technological breakthroughs of the first half of the twentieth century, it is by love for the cinematographic art, that Rémi Lavie writes novels for more than six years. Thriller, suspense and espionage are the mainspring of his fascinating and strong narratives. Nostalgic of a period which he did not regrettably know, he likes using the first half of the twentieth century as backcloth for his intrigues. When he describes what he carries achieves, he tells to be "a craftsman of the book who likes to make his readers escape". Drafting his manuscripts in the hand, at the rate of ten hours a day, six ever seven days, before seizing them on computer, Rémi Lavie is writing new thrillers for the end of the year.
