Anna Moss

American-born Anna Moss wandered the moors in Rannoch, rode winter tides at San Gregorio Beach, evaded sharks off the Kona Coast, survived century storms in the Cascade foothills and fended off a plague of venomous snakes in the Brazos Bottomlands.

In between these adventures she studied in Austin, London and Berkeley, earned one degree and almost a second. She worked as a writer/editor in high and low tech and renovated a rural hovel into a horse farm. In 2006, she stepped into a trap and moved to the northern Rockies where she faced a human predator in the person of her new husband.

That life-altering experience plunged her into deep research and another kind of wandering. For more than a decade, she's explored relationship extremities to discover unnerving links between psychological and spiritual explanations of evil.

Anna now lives in peace with her surviving animals in the Great American west, where she spends an inordinate amount of time at her laptop with her hair on fire or in the back country with one hand on her bear spray.
