Lena Lingemann grew up in Wisconsin and holds a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. She worked as a school psychologist for twenty-five years, mainly in California. In addition to her mainstream novels, "Smoked Glass" and "Chasing My Sister's Shadow," Lena has had a middle grade novel, "Promise of Wings," published, as well as two children's non-fiction picture books (under the name Linda Lingemann)--"Beluga Passage" and "Survival in the Sea, The Story of a Hammerhead Shark."
