About the author:

A native of Michigan, Rose pursued her dream to write her first eBook, "My Michigan Summer", which is about her grandkids and the Great Lakes State. One of the the best encouragements that Rose received was when her granddaughter announced that she wanted to "make books" when she grew up. Another joy for Rose and her illustrator, Fred Arndt, was to present this story to students in Michigan and see the fun they had learning about their state and meeting the characters, Junior and Charlie.

About the illustrator:

Frederick Arndt, a native of Saginaw, Michigan, is an accomplished artist whose works range from inked characters to metal and wood wall art and sculptures. "My Michigan Summer" is his first illustrated children's book. His storybook characters, "Junior Michigan" (TM) and "Little Charlie California" (TM) are part of his extensive character collection.
